 I got my Wacom on my 20th birthday, I think it was, from my parents. At first, I told them that there was no way I could ever, ever, ever paint on that thing. I would use it only to fix my paintings once they were scanned. A week later, I was hooked. I find that I can experiment so much more when working on the computer. I grow bold: I try new things because I can save the original version of an image and I don't have to worry about a good picture being ruined for all time, because I tried something different with it. I was always terrified of that. My brush was shy against the canvas, and it stumped my growth.Favourite movies: Clockwork Orange, Crying Game, The Name of the Rose, Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi, Army of Darkness, Donnie Darko, the LOTR series, Requiem for a Dream, Janghwa Hongryeon, Star Wars (first three, the old ones, not the new ones), the Shawshank Redemption, Psycho, Honogurai mizu no soko kara, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pulp Fiction, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Memento, Fight Club, Seven, Dangerous Liaisons, Shi mian mai fu, Pirates of the Caribbean, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepers, Emperor's New Groove, Sleepy Hollow, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, The Incredibles, 21 Grams, Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, The Shining, Aliens, Spiderman 2 and X-men 2, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, La Cité des enfants perdus, Stand by Me, The Changeling… And loads, loads, loads more - I watch a lot of movies. |
